We charge an hourly rate of $75-$150 per hour for DJ services ONLY (MCs/dancers/other entertainers are priced separately). The variation in cost depends on the type of the function, duration, distance from our base of operations, how far in advance your event is booked, and several other factors.
The price also includes set-up and
break-down time for equipment, total
time will depend upon the size of
the system that is used in your
event.
Extra time added on to the end of an
event will follow the same rate of
pay as was established for an hourly
rate when signing the contract.
We charge an extra $25 for every 25
miles traveled outside of the Boston
metro area. (Both Ways)(If you are
within 25
miles of Boston, this fee is
waived.)
First payment is half of the total,
and is due on day of booking (signing
of contract for employment).
Second payment for remaining half of
total due on day of event, at start
of event.
In the unlikely case that your event
is canceled, the first deposit is
non-refundable.
If your event is in two places (that
is, in the event of a wedding, where
you'd require a set-up at the church
or synagogue as well as at a second
venue for the celebration), we
charge an additional $25 for the
move between locations.
Please note: This can take anywhere
up to an additional 30 minutes for
break-down and set-up at the new
place. Also keep in mind the
above-mentioned traveling distance
fee will be included again if the
second venue is more than 30 miles
from the first location (very
unlikely in most cases, but it has
happened that a couple is married in
Boston and has their celebration on
The Cape.)
If your event is outdoors, you (or
the facility) is responsible for
supplying a tent to protect
equipment from weather elements.
Additionally, in all cases, a table
must be supplied to set up on.
Additionally, we charge an additional
cost for any of the following if you
choose to have them (their costs
will vary):
Dancers
Lights
Party favors
and any other "add-ons"
Finally, since music is the most
important factor for an enjoyable
and successful event, you and your
DJ will confer about the genres,
artists, songs, that you would like
(or not liked!) played on your
special day.
We have thousands of songs and
artists in our music library.
However, in the event that we do not
have a specific title or artist
you're looking for (since it would
be impossible to possess every song
in existence!), we encourage you to
create a "play list."
On this play list you will list what
you'd like to have played.
You, as well as guests (if they have
them), are also encouraged to bring
CD's of their own for us to play, in
the event that we do not have what
you're looking for.
